In preparation for a dynamic season of dance, actor and choreographer Benjamin Sterling Cannon will teach a Dance Master Class for dancers and actors who are planning to audition for the upcoming YPT seasons. The focus of this class will be fundamental musical theatre dance technique and choreography. Participants will learn and improve upon basic dance technique and learn choreography to prepare for the dance-heavy productions of "FOOTLOOSE" and "THE MUSIC MAN".
February 23, 2012 - 10am-1pm. Cost is $60 per child. Open to all YPT ages!

Benjamin Sterling Cannon is a former soloist of the North Carolina Dance Theatre, and has starred in international, national and regional productions of A Chorus Line, The Who's Tommy, Smokey Joe's Cafe, and Joseph...Dreamcoat to name a few. Mr. Cannon also starred on Broadway as "Banzai" in Disney's The Lion King. As Founding Producer of look(see , Benjamin creates and facilitates dynamic arts programming , theater, and music projects designed to challenge, uplift, and inspire. Mr. Cannon is the Artistic Director of The Haddonfield Theatre Caravan, The New Works Series (Delaware), and Resident Director / Choreographer for The Children's Theatre Company (NYC).
